PROHIBITION & EXCISE DEPARTMENT

From 2011-2021 onwards  for each and every year Tamilnadu  government sanctioned Rs.5.00 Crore as Rehabilitation fund for the person those who have been released from the jail after the court conviction for the prohibition related offences. The Rehabilitation fund  has been announced by the government in order to avoid the convict person to repeat the prohibition offence again.

The details of the rehabilitation fund allocated for each and every district and count of beneficiary list should be prepared after proper investigation and send to district collector for further process.

For the selection of final beneficiary list the prohibition enforcement division should discuss with enforcement deputy superintendent of police and should avoid detailed report of the listed persons and the same is sent  to concerned Tahsildar office, After receiving the enquiry report the final beneficiary list prepared and send the commissioner of excise office Chennai through district collector and fund is allocated for the selected persons.

The committee is formed by animal husbandry officer and through rehabilitation fund a cow is purchased for the price of Rs.30000/- and after getting the beneficiary opinion from the outside market. The cow is insured by the committee and given to the beneficiary person.

RULE AND ACT

                    In Kancheepuram  District both govt and Private Hospitals are Instructed to get license for storage and usage  of Anaesthesia Medicine products  for Surgical purposes. This License shall be Issued/Renewed  to the period of one year by the District Collector.

In order to get a License ,A application  from a Organisation  along with the following enclosures 1. Structural certificates  2. Fire license  3.Public health dept certificate, and  Copy of   Challan  paid for   Rs.1180  in relevant head of account are submitted to District collector.

Further, On the basis of Application   Inspection was carried out by DEO/AC Excise and Inspection report is sent to the District Collector for the approval of License.
